Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 01:55PM So Fairy Tail was released yesterday. For those of you that havent seen it yet you can watch it over at crunchyroll by becoming a premium member.
Well on to the review.
Not everyone is going to like the Fairy Tail anime. I will try to keep it spoiler free.
The first episode is the first chapter of the manga. In watching it, I liked the anime with a few complaints. The way they summoned magic, it would have been better, I think, without the summoning cirlcles. Some of the scenes seem lazy and reused. The anime introduces the two main characters Natsu and Lucy.
All in all, I still liked it and hope it gets better over time.
Lets see how many fillers they are going to add.
Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 10:57AM So hopefully everyone has seen or atleast downloaded the first episode. I'm going to try and avoid any spoilers.
The episode seems to be set some time from the end of the first season, but they give you plenty of flasbacks in case you missed the first season. The episode seems to fit nicely with the theme of the show, in the two of them trying to find out how they feel about each other.
I can only hope that it continues they way it is and hopefully we see some progress in the couple.

This episode revealed what happened to Robin and Usopp.
Robin was sent to and island of workers building a masive structure for a few centuries and Usopp was sent to a garden island with alot of weird plants.

Secondly, please also note [DB]'s announcement about their translation styles.
As a final referential note, Movie 3 came out in Japan mid-December of last year, Dec 13th to be exact. This was right between eps 198 and 199, about when the Shinigami Captns came to Hueco Mundo to retrieve Ichigo and his gang.

Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 02:44AM For the record, picked up ep 239 Tues night, and just minutes before typing up this review, got to watching it.
Episode begins w/ Muramasa finding the hollow that he was looking for.
Then Tobiume tells Hinamore to wake up an' smell the reality, and that she, Tobiume, takes pity upon her, Hinamore, to put her down like the wounded animal that she is.
Meanwhile, Haineko & Matsumoto continue their cat fight. [Yes, in every sense of the phrase!]
Then the Zanpakutou soon discover they were setup and get promptly taken down. Muwahahaha.
We get a lecture, and then get back to Captn Hitsugaya's confrontation w/ his Zanpakutou, Hyourinmaru. A few moves and counter moves, then the background flashbacks begin. And Hyourinmaru finally remembers. [It's all very poignant.]
The ep ends w/ Muramasa having to settle for the hollow that he ended up with.
Omake is Chad & Ishida having to settle down Kon in Ichigo's body back in the real world.

Last ep, Ichigo wuz giving chase to Ikkaku's Zanpakutou manifestation, Hozukimaru; but weird mysterious shit having to do w/ Byakuya happened and Ichigo loses him, but keeps searching.
Ichigo ten runs into Haineko & Tobiume, the respective Zanpakutou of Lts Matsumoto & Hinamori. Just imagine if Rachel & Monica from friends constantly got into bitchy cat fights (pun applicable.) Anywhich, soon afterwards, Lts Matsumoto & Hinamori show to relieve Ichigo of having to deal w/ their Zanpakutou manifestations. And he takes off again.
Muramasa makes some kinda journey to what appears to be the outer limits of Soul Society where he runs into a buncha Gillian hollow.
Ichigo then runs into a Zanpakutou who's lost his memories. We find that it's Hyourinmaru, Captn Hitsugaya's Zapakutou. And said Captn appears to try to help his Zanpakutou remember, and that's where it ends.
Omake is an amusing tale of Ukitake and Kyoraku getting lost in the 4th Div Barracks. [How does one properly enter a lady's chamber? Sheesh 9_9 ]
